At «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» is effectively in force the program «Perspective» and new forms of training

In spite of constant limitations due to pandemic of corona virus infection COVID-19, at «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd. has never been stopped the process of training organization and training conducting, as well as staff preparation and retraining, advanced training of personnel, attraction to the team young specialists – graduators from High schools and students for having practice at production facilities (on working places) with salaries payment for them. This activity is made constantly and not in vain, while it considerably favours to successful operation of the enterprise and its development.

As it was reported by Iryna Biletska, leader of the group on training organisation and personnel skills development, within the first half-year of the current year, when due to corona virus some limitations were still acting concerning training process organisation for workers of the enterprise for full time or part time training, actually 1206 persons/course, including 585 engineer-technical workers and 621 workers visited various courses and passed the exams. Some of them visited only one training course and some of them even more.  This is because there are compulsory trainings, which must be visited by engineer-technical staff, workers as well as training on special disciplines, production-technical courses, courses on maintenance and operation of gas treatment units, courses on qualifying group on electric safety, civil, fire-prevention measures, etc.

For many workers of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» in the first-half of the year 2021 various training courses have also been started, and employees are now continuing their training at the courses.

– A great attention at the enterprise is paid to the work with youth and young specialists, – tells Iryna Victorivna. – For this issue at «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» has been implemented and is effectively acting the program «Perspective», according to which students of High schools, colleges and professional schools have a chance to obtain at the enterprise  invaluable practical experience on their specialty during production practice at working place with payment receive for their job.  Housing costs are compensated in case employees are not inhabitants of Kalush, and all of them receive special coupons for nourishment in the canteens that are located on the territory of the enterprise. Moreover, all trainees receive uniforms, personal protective equipment; they also don’t pay for travel to work and back to their dwelling place in the busses of carriers that have corresponding Agreements with our company on service rendering to petrochemical workers.

The employed graduators from High schools have also chance at the cost of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd., to get the second high education from specialties, which are most of all required by the enterprise.

Іryna Biletska also informed that persons who are employed by the enterprise for the first time, or those who due to maternity leave or for some other reasons were not at their working places more than one year and want to start working again, should visit 5-days training for workers on occupational safety and health and to pass successfully the tests for knowledge check.

And according to the position list of engineer-technical employees that should from time to time (once per three years) have training and knowledge check on occupational safety, are organized training courses pursuant to thematic plan and training program on occupational safety for engineer- technical workers.

Such trainings are made by lectors of the enterprise, among whom the majority are leading specialists of industrial safety, occupation and protection department.

In total within the first half-year of the current year training courses on occupation safety issues were visited by 135 petrochemical workers, among them 70 engineer-technical workers and 65 new employed workers.

At the same time Iryna Biletska mentioned that not only the program «Perspective» is effectively in force at «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» pursuant to which are learned, chosen and employed young workers of respective specialties that are required by the enterprise. There are some other special programs, new forms and methods of training that provide a perfect effect for necessary knowledge gaining and skills development. These programs are elaborated, improved and realised by specialists of the enterprise. In particular, a very interesting program of training in form of target courses, which have been elaborated for 39 hours of theoretic training, was prepared by Galyna Melnyk, a pharmacologist of Air separation unit. And beginning from May 31, she conducts by herself such training for the team about liquefied medical oxygen, which is produced at that unit. She focused the attention of the listeners to the issues of appropriate output and use of this pharmaceutics product.

– It’s worth to emphasize one more aspect of the raised topic about work with staff, – continues Iryna Victorivna. – With the aim of training conducting on occupational safety, on special subjects, controlled by State Labour Service of Ukraine, as well as related professions study, skills development, preparation of required specialists for the enterprise, we are in close cooperation with Training course centre, Profile methodical centres and with various High schools of Ukraine. Employees have also possibility to gain new knowledge in professional development and occupational progression at seminars, conferences, trainings and at other similar events that take place in different cities of the country.
