Work of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Team in Quarantine Situation

Above all for us is life and health of employees and their families as well as ensuring of plants operation with continuous production processes, as far as welfare of people, our town and economy of Ukraine depends upon this, and also the environmental safety of region, that we must maintain to the best of our ability and responsibility.

Currently company «KARPATNAFTOCHIM», as socially responsible enterprise, is taking a number of preventive precautions for the prevention of acute respiratory infection spreading, caused by coronavirus COVID-19. For this purpose we established the headquarters of rapid response and assistance provision (consulting and material support) to families of our employees.

«KARPATNAFTOCHIM» is a complex highly technical enterprise with operation of plants in united process scheme, which combines nine different  areas. The enterprise is an industrial facility, where such chemically hazardous substances as chlorine, ammonium, highly inflammable and explosive products of refinery and others are used.

Regulation in force for storage of hazardous substances, raw materials and finished goods requires constant presence of process staff at the production plants of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM». Therefore even at shut down of production plants for technological or forced downtime these substances remain in process systems and need the respective supervision and service, inclusive the personnel of auxiliary subdivisions that provide water supply, water sewage, energy supply, effluents treatment, in particular also from  residential areas of Kalush and from other enterprises of the region.

Non-fulfilment and ignoring of the above-mentioned activities by process staff could cause the complicated environmental consequences at our potentially hazardous enterprise as well as in the region.

With full understanding of the responsibility for technogenic and ecological safety in the region, we continue working and secure our employees with safe working environment, control their state of health, providing them with personal protective equipment and making constant and intensified premises disinfection.
