Petrochemists were improving skills in firefighting by means of fire-extinguishers

In July, 24 on the territory of State fire-rescue division №24 (SFRD-24) and gas-rescue service (GRS), that guard the industrial objects of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM», LTD., by employees of industrial safety department, labor protection and ecology of the Company were organized practical trainings for use of fire-extinguishers during firefighting.

As it was informed to the editorial staff of «NK» by Oleg Medvid, a leading specialist of technogenic safety of the department for industrial safety, labour protection and ecology, such practical trainings of the rules of fire-extinguishers use by shift staff of production divisions are conducted pursuant to the schedule of technical service. In the current trainings at the above-mentioned sites, which are located outside the process facilities, was involved a process personnel of cracking, compression and cracking gas splitting division as well as workers from hydrocarbons production and filling, from railway sector (territory of SFRD-24) and from VC plant and Chlorine and Caustic soda membrane plant, workers from gas and power supply (territory of GRS). In total to these trainings were involved by us nearly 80 panel operators and field operators from the aforesaid production facilities.

Prior to practical trainings, in which besides our specialists also participated the workers of fire-rescue division and gas rescue service,   there was the theoretical introductory training that was entrusted to me.

In general the course of theoretical and practical training as well as the actions of production people during practical application of fire-extinguishers (and they had to localize real fires), made positive impression and assured the preparation of technical staff.
