On request of inhabitants of the village Nyzhniy Strutyn petrochemical workers are cleaning the riverbed of Chechva and are building a dam

Recently were restored really important scheduled activities at Chechva basin of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» LTD., located between the village Nyzhniy Strutyn and the natural boundary named Pidmonastyr of a former Rozhnyativ district. Here is being cleaned the upper part of the riverbed Chechva against deposits which are coming from the mountains as well as is build the technological road of the basin, and on request of village community is installed a new dam for safer protection of earth and buildings against probable flooding during high water times or overflows.

– This great deal of works, – tells Volodymyr Shevchuk, a chief of department for plants provision of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» LTD, has already been started at Chechva basin in February and lasted till the beginning of  spawning period – the first of April. Pursuant to the Agreement, concluded between the enterprise and a specialized general contracting organization, these activities were made by company «PRYKARPATTYA INVEST GROUP» from Dolyna.

After a break due to fish spawning period, this company continues to fulfil its service obligations at the time being. Specialists of «PRYKARPATTYA INVEST GROUP» with the use of special technique started again to work at the basin from June 22.

According to information of Volodymyr Stefanyuk, chief for repair of buildings, constructions and industrial objects of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» LTD, for cleaning of the upper part of the riverbed against so-called  natural supports (islands) and for construction activities is involved  a great number of  specific technique.

– Currently, the same like it was during the first stage of activities, at Chechva basin are working three excavators, four self-dumping trucks with hoisting capacity of 12,5 tons each and four self-dumping trucks with hoisting capacity of 22 tons each, a powerful bucket loader and bulldozer, – specified Volodymyr  Vasylyovych. – Before spawning period the specialists of company «PRYKARPATTYA INVEST GROUP» have almost entirely cleaned two naturally formed islands from gravel-sand rocks at upper part of the basin. All deposits taken from water were used for backfilling of the dam on the right bank 340 meters long as well as for the construction of almost half kilometre dam from the side of the village Nyzhniy Strutyn and for technological road building from our dam till the hydraulic dump. Having connection with hydraulic dump, in further perspective would be possible to transport and store there different natural deposits that will be taken out from the upper part of riverbed.

– How much deposits in total have already been taken out from these islands and used for strengthening and construction of dams and road building to hydraulic dump?

– Now I am not ready to indicate the exact numerical number. But according to our rough estimation it is more than 500 thousand cubic meters.

– When are these jobs planned to be completed?

– Till the end of July this year. But such quick pace of activity, which the specialists of company «PRYKARPATTYA INVEST GROUP» adhere to, inspires hope that it will happen much faster.
